Overview
This document provides a step-by-step guide for instructors to create a live class on Kalpla. It covers the basic workflow, including entering class information, configuring learning details and settings, reviewing the class details and successfully creating the live class.
1. Login
- Click on login.
a. Enter the phone number or e-mail address and then
b. Click on Send OTP.
a. Enter the OTP.
b. Click on Verify OTP.
2. Create a Live Class
- You will then be redirected to the dashboard. From there
a. Click on Live classes.
b. Click on Create Class.
3. Enter Class Details
- Then, you will be redirected to the Basic information page. There, enter the required details.
a. Class Title: A class title is the name of a class. It is the first thing learners see and should clearly indicate what the class is about.
b. Class description: A class description is a brief summary of what the class is about. It explains the topics covered, what learners will gain.
c. Category: A category is the main subject or field under which a class is classified.
d. Additional category: An additional category refers to a secondary label used to describe a class, alongside the main category, for better classification.
e. Price: The actual selling price that learners pay. This is what gets charged at checkout.
f. Original Price: This is the "strikethrough" price shown to learners, giving the impression of a higher value.
g. Choose difficulty level.
h. Upload Intro video: An intro video is a short video that introduces the course and gives students a quick overview before they enroll (max 512MB).
i. Upload thumbnail: A thumbnail is a small image that visually represents a course before it's opened.
j. Click on Save draft.
k. Click on Next.
- You will now be redirected to the Learning details page.There enter required details.
a. Syllabus: A syllabus is a list of topics that outlines what will be taught in a class.
- For adding more syllabus click on Add.
b. Course Pre-Requisites: Course prerequisites are the skills or knowledge a student should have before starting the class.
- For adding more course Pre-Requisites click on Add.
c. Learning outcomes: Learning outcomes describe what a student will be able to do after completing the class.
- For adding more learning outcomes click on Add.
d. Click Save Draft.
e. Click on Next.
- You will then be redirected to the Settings page.
a. Start Date: The start date must be 48 hours from the day the class is created.
b. End Date: The end date can be set to any date.
c. Timezone: Asia/Kolkata(IST,UTC+5:30)
d. Maximum seats: Leave 'Maximum Seats' blank for unlimited capacity, or enter a specific number if you'd like to set a limit.
e. Click Save Draft.
f. Click on Next.
- You will then be redirected to the confirmation page. Review all the details and click 'Edit' to make any changes.
a. Click Save Draft.
b. Click on Create Live Class.
- The created class can be viewed under My Classes. After the class is created, it is automatically redirected to this page. To submit the class for approval, at least one session must be added.
